Job Description
The Concrete Laborer supports the finishers by assisting in hand troweling, mixing concrete, puddling/placing concrete, getting materials and supplies, and performs other duties as directed by their foreman. In order to be successful, laborers must have a strong work ethic and be very quality minded.
Minimum Skills Required
- 1-2 years experience with residential/commercial concrete (but willing to train the right candidate)
- High School graduate
- 18 years of age
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Must be able to safely & proficiently use all hand tools of the trade
- Be able to do high quality work at a fast pace
- Must be willing and able to work long hours & weekends
- Must be safety oriented at all times
- Strong work ethic (dependable, excellent attendance, trustworthy)
- Ability to work well with others
- Must have a reliable means of transportation and transportation to and from work can not be an issue
- Ability to operate some motorized equipment is a plus, but will train
- Good carpentry skills is a plus
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
